The Alrewas Youth Players (known as AYPs) was formed in 1994 by members of the Society. It was felt that the Society needed some new blood and that young people in the village could easily become part of the society. Initially AYPs worked on their own projects and produced some excellent improvised pieces and several scripted plays. They even performed their own hilarious version of the mechanical's scene from A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Brewhouse Theatre in Burton on Trent. Gradually AYPs joined in with the main society and has contributed many shows over the years including 'A Night On The Box', A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'The Great Millennium Show', the photographs below are of a sketch written by AYPs based on the Star Wars films. The series of sketches culminated in the Star Wars mambo !
